The most powerful telematics device on the market, built to support your fleet now and into the future.
What Is Telematics?
Telematics is the technology of sending, receiving and storing information using telecommunications devices. Telematics is a method to not only monitor cars, trucks, equipment and other assets by using GPS technology, but it can also report on nearly every other detail – from speed, fuel use and tire pressure, to name a few.
You may know it as ‘GPS fleet tracking’ or ‘AVL’, but since 70% of the data we collect does not involve location information at all, ‘telematics’ is the mainstream term used today.
Our Telematics Device: The GO9
The GO device is a small, self-contained telematics device that easily installs into any car or truck. It plugs directly into your vehicle’s OBDII port, no antenna or wire splicing is needed. If your vehicle or truck does not have an OBDII, an adapter can be used instead.
This powerful device not only provides accurate location data, but collects all vehicle data from the engine, the drivetrain, instrument cluster and other subsystems. The built-in accelerometer provides information on things like harsh breaking, harsh cornering and importantly, collision detection with a second-by-second breadcrumb trail.
Expandability
The GO9 is made even more powerful by the ability to expand itself through the built-in IOX port. This port provides the flexibility to add-on other systems and features, such as driver ID, temperature tracking, camera systems and PTO monitoring.
Plugging into the IOX port collects the data from that external piece of hardware and sends it back to cloud for easy viewability and analysis.
#1 In Cybersecurity
Geotab works with Industry Associations, Universities, and Authorities to advance cybersecurity in the telematics industry. Geotab incorporates the best of what they learn into Geotab and validates their implementation through rigorous third-party penetration testing. Device security features are implemented using a FIPS 140-2 validated cryptographic module. Certificate #3371.
Other certifications and authorizations include FedRAMP and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Information Security Management System
Engine Diagnostics For Vehicle Health Insights
Extract valuable information on vehicle health and status. Record VIN, odometer, engine faults and more. This data not only helps prioritize vehicle maintenance, but also helps audit vehicle use to identify both safe and risky driving habits.
